Karen J Rider Henry, 79, of Orange, TX, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont after a short illness.

 While growing up, her father Charles Conner and mother Josephine “Jo” Dunkin Hewitt took her to a number of states for her father’s work. She continued to follow in her father’s footsteps and travel until she finally settled in Orange, TX, where her mother Jo had taken up. 

 Many know her as a one time friendly checker at Wal-Mart. She also enjoyed gardening in her yard and shopping.

 Karen is survived by her brother, Charles Conner, Jr.; husband, Edward L. Henry, Jr.; his sons, Ashley & Kendall, and Kendall’s wife Lisa Henry; plus a number of grandkids and great grandkids.

 On December 8, 2024, funeral services will begin at 11:45 a.m at the 9th & Elm Church of Christ. The minister Freddie Anderson will give the eulogy.
