Kathryn Ann Holland, 74, passed away on October 9, 2021, at her home in Beaumont.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 20, at the Tyrrell Park Warren Loose Conservatory in Beaumont.
Born in Beaumont, Texas, on November 18, 1946, Kathryn grew up in Vidor, Texas with her parents, Horace Carter and Inez (Lyle) Carter. She later moved on to live in Houston, Marquez, and Goldthwaite, Texas. Kathryn was a self-employed rancher who loved the simple joys in life. She loved making porcelain dolls, crochet, gardening, and animals. Her dog, Ellie Mae, loved her deeply and was always attached to her hip. Kathryn loved to spoil her children and grandchildren, as well as her two nieces Cindy and Pam. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Inez Carter; son, James Robert Brown; first husband, Robert Gann; second husband, Reagan Holland; brother-in-law, Jeff Burgins; sister-in-law, Davie Joyce Huff Carter.
She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Cornwell and husband Stephen Cornwell of Beaumont, and Lisa Dunlap and husband Paul of Houston; grandchildren, Corbin Cornwell, Collin Cornwell, and Cole Cornwell; siblings, Philip Carter of Lumberton, Brenda Carter Smith and husband Sonny of Goldthwaite; as well as many other loving family and friends.
Arrangements will be under the direction of Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.
