Kathryn Tarter

June 18, 1939 — November 3, 2008

Kathryn Tarter, 69, of Orange, died Monday, November 3, 2008, at Conroe Regional Medical Center in Conroe.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 6, 2008, at the temporary location of Claybar Funeral Home, 1408 W. Park Ave., in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Andrew Pate, minister with the First Christian Church in Orange.

Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in the McLewis Community.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Born in Anadarko, Oklahoma on June 18, 1939, Mrs. Tarter was the daughter of Burlin and Tula Mae Taylor Thomasson. She retired from Wells Fargo Bank in Orange where she was the Executive Secretary to the President and she was a member of First Christian Church in Orange.

Mrs. Tarter was preceded in death by her husbands, Max Seay and Tom Walker and her step daughter, Judy Walker.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Tarter of Orange; sons and daughters in law, Kenneth and Wendy Seay of Fort Collins, Colorado, Monte and Sandy Seay of Montgomery; daughter and son in law, Nancy and Jim Shaw of Houston; step son Gerald Tarter, Jr. and his wife, Stephanie, of Orange.

Also surviving are her grandchildren, Courtney Garza and her husband, Dago, Justin Seay, Jeff Seay, Tyler Seay, Garrett Shaw, Colton Shaw, Brad Tarter, Taylor Seay, Casey Seay; great grandchildren, Marissa Garza, Mikayla Garza, Dago Garza; brother and sister in law, Fred and Kay Thomasson of Cleburne.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Shaw, Gerald Tarter, Jr., Pleas Evans, Leon Wallace, Justin Seay and Dago Garza.
