Kathryn Grace Worthey, 87, of Beaumont was born Feb. 23, 1930 in Shelby County to the late, John and Anna (Ballard) Hitt and went to be with her Lord on Feb. 11, 2018.
A service of worship honoring her life will be held on Wed. Feb. 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sabine Tabernacle. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Worthey, Kyle Worthey, Brett Worthey, Trent Worthey, Ryan Worthey and David Hitt. Honorary pallbearer will be James Klock.
Mrs. Worthey was a homemaker and former secretary at Sabine Tabernacle were she was a faithful and devoted member. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother,
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Carolyn Worthey, Glenn and Marcee Worthey; sisters, Lillian McCullough and Elizabeth Hodge and husband, Lewis; brother James Hitt; grandchildren, Blake and Jayne Worthey, Kyle Worthey, Brett Worthey, Trent Worthey, Ryan Worthey; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Kate Worthey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jack; brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Rhea Hitt; sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and T. J. Hale; brothers, Charles, Chester and M.L. Hitt and brother-in-law George McCullough.
