Katie Mae Farish, 93, of Forney, formerly of Beaumont and Lumberton, passed away on August 25, 2019, in Forney.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Leon Holly.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas.
Born in Schlater, Mississippi, on July 18, 1926 she was the daughter of John Henry Holly and Opal (Ashcraft) Holly. Katie was a member of North End Baptist Church in Beaumont. She enjoyed crocheting and puzzles, and spending time with her loved ones. Katie had a great and deep love for her family, and held them so close to her heart. She will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Opal Holly; loving husband, Charlie B. “Bill” Farish, Jr.; brothers, James, Charles, and David Holly.
She is survived by her children, Charlie Farish and wife Jackie of Leander, Donald Farish of Baytown, Sandra Ivey and husband Tommy of Burns, Tennessee, and Terri Chelette and husband Darrel of Forney; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Dorothy Ann, Leon, Margaret, Betty Ann, Frances, Sue, John, and Larry.
