Kelly “Bubba” Lee Kirkpatrick, 30, of Orange, Texas, passed away on December 31, 2017, in Tyler, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Randy Branch. Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on June 7, 1987, he was the son of Donald Black, Ella (Kirkpatrick) Stevens and husband Ellis “Buddy” Stevens. Bubba worked as prison guard and point man at Styles Unit. He was a certified Master Mechanic, former owner of Foreman’s Radiator, and later worked for CB&I. He loved fast cars, loud trucks, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. Bubba was a very goodhearted, down to earth man who loved to help others. He enjoyed making people laugh and was dearly loved by everyone. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Black; grandmother, George Anne Chesson Kay; great-great-grandmother, Mary Kirkpatrick; and his uncle, Ralph Kirkpatrick.
Bubba is survived by his loving wife, Allison “Allie” Kirkpatrick; parents, Ella and Ellis “Buddy” Stevens, of Orange; grandparents, Gloria Hollingsworth, of Waco, Clifton Fuller Kirkpatrick and Bonnie Kirkpatrick, of Tyler; daughters, Sable Bradley and Zoe Robinson, of Ohio; sister, Mary Ellen Santos-Matute, of Orange; and his niece and nephews, Shayla Santos, Juan “Junior” Santos, Skylar Santos, and Cade Stevens.
Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Granger, Robert Holye, Jarret Tarver, Cameron Cook, Danny Walker, and Charlie Brown.
