Kelly Joe Cordova
Kelly Joe Cordova, 47, of Orange, Texas, passed away on June 12, 2023, in Beaumont, Texas.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Brother Jeff Anderson.

Born in Orange, Texas, on September 18, 1975, he was the son of Michael James Cordova and Debby Cordova (Reeves). Kelly found the love of his life, Kimi, at Sunset Grove Country Club. They married in 2005, and spent 18 wonderful years together. He was a business owner and entrepreneur, owning the industrial degreasing company, E.E.A. Inc., which earned him the nickname “Soapy” in the local plants. Kelly’s house was filled with friends, family, and love. He was always making new friends wherever he went and never met a stranger along the way. Kelly was a member of the Orange Boating Club, Theta Chi Fraternity, and Sunset Grove Country Club. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, a hunter, and he enjoyed travelling, especially to the annual Squirrel-a-thon with his friends and family. Kelly was a true musician, writing, singing and performing his own songs on his guitar. He loved playing music, golfing, and being a “good ol’ scooter rider” starting out riding his dad’s Harley and eventually his own. He will be missed by his loving Texas Lacy dogs, Trump and Tally. Kelly was a wonderful husband, son, uncle, cousin, and friend and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd and Ruby Reeves, and Gilbert and Pauline Cordova.

He is survived by his loving wife Kimberly “Kimi” Cordova; parents, Mike and Debby Cordova; In-laws, Wally and Nancy Sieck; brother, Kevin Cordova-Brookey and spouse, Brian; brother-in-law, Jason Sieck and spouse, Kylie; nieces and nephews, Catherine Matthews and spouse, Sunshine, William Brookey, Elizabeth Brookey, Taylor Kazik-Sieck, Liam Sieck, and Cooper Sieck; great-nephew, River Matthews; as well as numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Honorary pallbearers are Brian Cordova-Brookey, Jason Sieck, Catherine Matthews, William Brookey, Elizabeth Brookey, Taylor Kazik-Sieck, Liam Sieck, and Cooper Sieck.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kelly’s name to Orange Christian Services (2518 W Park Ave, Orange, TX 77630) and V.F.W. Post 2775 (5303 N 16th St, Orange, TX 77630).

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

The world is just a bit dimmer with him not here. He had a light and spirit like no other. He was a friend many years ago. At that time in life every other memory that are strong and filled with laughter, fun, and joy he is there in association. My condolences to those that miss him everyday. I do not know you by name, but prayers for your grief. May it be full of sadness, laughter, memories, and lead to peace.

So long young cuz, my go to guy for corn on the cob. That's a 42 year running joke between me and Kelly. This old world has lost one of it;s bright, shining lights, and the rest of us will have to carry on without your humor, genorsity, and love. Happy trails, to you, until we meet again. Be sure to say hi to Momma and them. Love you, Charles Anthony Siller

Kelly Jo, we were the lucky ones, we got to experience your love and laughs. Your never ending quest to learn things and meet new people will not be forgotten. There was never a new food you weren’t excited to try and you lived truly enjoying and experiencing all that life had to offer. We are going to miss you dearly and don’t worry we will surround Kimi with love. Love you Kelly and save us a seat up there so we can have a front row to your band. Kylie (the other Sieck outlaw)

Many have had the privilege to of known Kelly Joe way before I. But there has been so few that made the kind of impression on me as he did. One the nicest, helpful, funny and most genuine fellows I have ever been able to call a friend. His memory will always live on throughout my family. As he was always so kind to my boys and they always loved seeing him and hearing a story or two . You will be missed by many Ol' Friend but you will always be remembered.
