Kenneth James Broussard, 64, of Orange, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at Abbeville General Hospital.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 2, 2007, at Geesy-Ferguson Funeral Home in Crowley, LA. A time of visitation will precede at 1:00 p.m.
Visitation will be 2:00-10:00 p.m, Friday, June 1, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Mr. Broussard was born July 23, 1942, in Morse, LA to Andie and Gladys Adaway Broussard.
He made history by being the first deaf mute All American in High School Football.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Calton Broussard and father Andie Broussard.
He is survived by his mother, Gladys A. Broussard of Orange, son, Jason Broussard of Tampa, FL, daughter, Annette Mudd of Abbeville, LA; four grandchildren; brother, Cal Broussard of Orange, sister in law, Velma Broussard of Orange;
caregiver of 35 years; Jimmy Donahue of Orange, 14 nieces and nephews; and aunt Amy Richard of Crowley, LA,
Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Broussard, Dominick Broussard, Dave Broussard, Shannon Buckley, Jimmy Donahue and James Rougeau.
