1963 ∼ 2024

Kenneth “Ken” Adolph Hryhorchuk

Kenneth Adolph Hryhorchuk, 61, of Orange, Texas, was brought to his eternal home and made whole on August 28, 2024, from his home after a brave fight with pancreatic cancer.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Robert “Bucky” White. Burial will follow at Deweyville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Orange, Texas, on January 11, 1963, he was the son of Adoph Hryhorchuk and Doris Janell Hryhorchuk.

Ken, before all else, was a Christian man. His faith carried him to the very end of his race, believing that God was in control every step of the way. He was devout in his trust in the Lord and was at peace with which ever way he was healed. Beyond his faith, family was the most important thing to Ken. He enjoyed time spent with them and never let them doubt his love. He was a jokester, had a big personality, an even bigger heart, and took pride in making people smile. Ken loved the outdoors, enjoyed a good golf game and found joy hunting and fishing. He will be missed by all that were fortunate enough to know him.

He was greeted at The Pearly Gates by his son, Tyler Hryhorchuk, and his parents, Adolph and Janell Hryhorchuk

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Karen Hryhorchuk; his son, Jacob Hryhorchuk and wife, Chelsey; his sisters, Phyllis Ford and husband, Darrell, Cindy Skinner and husband, Paul, and Susan Hryhorchuk; his mother-in-law, Jewel Mazza; and numerous other loving family members and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jacob Hryhorchuk, Blake King, Brian Hudson, Daren Peveto, Billy Oldham, and Michael Mason. Honorary pallbearers are Paul Skinner, Darrell Ford, Buck Holievina, Clint Permenter, Jeff Chance, and Keith Hines.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Fila Brasileiro Mastiff Dog rescue organization that was dear to his heart – Fila 911 at 102 Berry Rd Jasper, AL 35504, or via PayPal fila911rescueandrehab@gmail.com, Venmo @fila911rescueandrehab, Cash App $FilaRescue, Zelle 205-300-0039, or by email at filafriends@gmail.com.

I was Kenneth Hryhorchuk ‘s head football coach at Warren HS. Ken was an awesome young man and an outstanding athlete. The most rewarding thing about him was the kind of leader and Christian he was. I knew his family growing up in Orange around the corner from me in Roselawn.

Everyone has a different memory of Kenneth but mine was when we were in school together. Ken was a special friend to me ever since he arrived at our school in Warren when we were young. He was kind, he loved his sports and was very good at them. He was funny and always knew what to do to make your day better. Oh the trouble we got in when we were in High School… We remained friends ever since. Very proud to call him my buddy. I will miss my friend very much.
