Kenneth “Ray Ray” Leblanc

It is with great sadness that the family of Kenneth Leblanc announces his passing at St. Luke’s hospital in Houston holding his, in his words, awesomely amazing son’s hand on May 28, 2025, at the age of 58. He was born on April 21, 1967, in Port Arthur, Texas to parents, Paul and Rose Leblanc.

Ray Ray will forever be remembered by his loving son; Peter Leblanc of Orange, Daughter; Juanita Sterling of Oregon and his Siblings, Kenda & Husband Art Trotti of Bridge City, Christine of Bridge city, Paul and wife Sharon Leblanc of McLewis, Elizabeth and Husband Johnny of Sour Lake, and Dennis and wife Rebel of Bridge City. He will also be remembered by many extended relatives and friends that held a special place in his heart.

Ray was preceded in death by his wife; Thea, his parents Rose and Paul Leblanc; and his brother, Terry Herman, Sr.

His son tells his story as “My dad was the most lovable sweetest "awesomely amazing" man I've EVER met, he loved my mom with his whole soul and couldn't stand to be away from her side. As a father he was perfect, he always gave me and my sister the first bite off his plate, he constantly told us how proud he was of us and how much he loved us, His children were his pride and joy. His love was as big as Texas, he gave the best hugs and always had a big smile, you were always expecting a phone call on your birthday to my dad singing his heart out to you. He was the family's hype man/cheerleader, there was never an accomplishment that he didn't celebrate or call saying how proud he was of you”

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 ,at 6 PM at Claybar Funeral home in Orange, Texas, with a gathering of family and friends from 4 PM until service time. Arrangements for cremation are under the direction of Claybar funeral home.

His son wants to extend a “special thanks to his beautiful family, the support and love y’all gave to my dad was his strength when we were so low after momma passed”

Juanita & Peter, I was so deeply saddened to hear of your Dad's passing. I have lots of wonderful memories of playing games, going to eat & spending lots of quality time with your family when I lived in Beaumont. We would always laugh & have the best time. Your Dad was always so funny & your Mom was always softer spoken & of such a gentle nature. I loved them both very much. I know how hard this will be & I will be saying prayers for both of you in the days, weeks & months ahead. I love you both & pray the Peace Speaker wraps you both tightly in His arms. Love, Cristy (MiMi)

I worked with Ken in Portland Oregon downtown as security officers and yes he had the biggest smile and laugh 😃 and he was the nicest person you ever met. Although he left Portland and moved back to Texas in 2006-07 and we didn't talk i missed his friendship. He has fallen asleep until our lord Jesus Christ return with a shout and the trumpet of the archangel and the dead in Christ shall rise first. With deepest sympathy for the family

Ray was such a bright light and one of the kindest people I've ever known. He was always so happy and always wore a large smile. I was honored to have such a friend and classmate. Ray truly had a heart of gold and will be missed by all who were fortunate to know this amazing and compassionate man. I, along with the Class of '85, extend our condolences to the family. Heaven gained one amazing angel.
