Kenneth Oliver, 94, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on August 19, 2023

Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Charles Johnson of Greater Life Church in New Braunfels Texas and Reverend Nathan Keating of Parkway Life Church in Lumberton Texas. Private burial with the family will follow.

Visitation will be at 1:00pm, Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on January 29, 1929, he was the son of William Oliver and Lillie Oliver. Kenneth was a hard-working person who could accomplish anything he set his mind to. While working a full-time job, he took night classes and earned an Associate Degree in Drafting. This education opened up new opportunities with his long- term career at Texaco refinery in Port Arthur, Tx. During the Korean conflict, he served four years in the Army which included a two-year deployment to Germany. He had many hobbies including bible research, playing the keyboard and fishing. Kenneth was a godly man and committed his life for the Lord at a young age. He was a long-standing member of Parkway Life Church and a recent member of Greater Life Church. To his grandchildren he was known as chauffeur “Pawpaw”. He was a loving husband and a doting father and grandfather, and will be deeply missed by all who loved him during his journey through life.


He is preceded in death by his wife Mildred Oliver; and his parents William Oliver and Lillie Oliver.

He is survived by his son Greg Oliver and wife Retha of New Braunfels, Texas; his two grandchildren Kimerli Oliver, and Hunter Oliver and wife Hannah Hudson; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Campbell, Ryan Campbell, Larry Poe, Kerry Savoie, Matthew Jowett, and Dean Allison.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Greater Life Church (130 Enchantment Ln, New Braunfels, TX 78130) or Parkway Life Church (Po Box 8586, Lumberton, TX 77657,).
