Kenneth R. Lumpkin, 63, died Friday, August 27, 2010.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 29, 2010, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
A graveside service will take place at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery on Irving St. at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 30, 2010. Officiating the service will be Barry Jones from Ninth & Elm Church of Christ.
Born in Texas City, TX, on July 20, 1947, Ken was the son of Robert Lumpkin and Francis Lumpkin Jones. He served in the National Guard reserves and loved the outdoors and fishing. He was an avid guitarist and enjoyed spending time with his family. He adored his grandchildren, and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by both his father and mother. Ken is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marilyn Lyn of Orange; son, Terry Lumpkin and his wife Penny, daughter, Kim Dickerson and husband Paul; daughter, Janice Green and husband Troy; and six grandchildren, Mark Lumpkin, Tylor Porter,
Jeremy Lumpkin, Lauren & Jessica Dickerson, and Megan Green.
