Lana Kaye Davis, 48, of Orange, passed away on March 21, 2010, after battling Carcinoid Cancer for over five years.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at First Baptist Church of Deweyville with Reverend Damon Bickham and Reverend David Turner of Little Cypress Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Trout Creek Cemetery in Trout Creek.
Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Lana was born on November 30, 1961, in Orange, Texas. She was the daughter of Larry and Joyce Welch Dowling. Lana was a member of First Baptist Church of Deweyville. Lana worked for the Beaumont Enterprise as an accounting clerk for the past 28 years. She loved people and never met a stranger.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Dowling.
Lana is survived by her husband, Chuck Davis; daughter, BriAnna Davis both of Little Cypress; and mother, Joyce Rice and her husband A.J. of Dequincy, Louisiana.
She is also survived by her brothers and sister, Gary Dowling of Port Arthur, Clairice Sissy Ellisor of Kingwood and Ted Dowling of Crosby; and numerous aunts and uncles from the Orange, Newton, Pennsylvania and Nebraska areas.
