In cherished memory of Landon Joseph Delahoussaye, a bright soul who left us too soon. He came into the world on April 21, 2005, and by 18, lived so much life. Landon embodied a contagious spirit, infusing humor and joy into the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.

Landon's college pursuit in maritime resonated with his deep love for the water, where he found solace and happiness, whether casting a line or appreciating its tranquility - even if it was just in a ditch. Basketball (hooping), tennis, working out and running added another layer to his athletic passions, and he embraced challenges with his siblings, friends, and dad.

Family and friends were the heartbeat of Landon's existence, and he thrived from the love and support of his mother and stepfather, Caron and Darryl Droll and dad, Ringgold Joey Delahoussaye. His big sis Abbi and not so little brother Luke Delahoussaye, along with bonus sisters Julia and Sabrina Droll, all formed bonds that brought endless happiness and mischief to his life.

His Nanna Beth Dodson and Da Nancy Delahoussaye provided unwavering love, enriching Landon's journey with their presence. His aunts Jennifer Dodson-Moore, Janet Delahoussaye and Shelly Veron (and Uncle Seth) along with cousins Grant and Miriam Dodson, Hannah and Faith Moore, and Emerich Veron, shared in laughter and cherished moments that helped shape and defined who he was.

In the world of pets, Landon was a turtley awesome dude and was often seen caring for Godzilla, Squirtle, and Spike - not just reptilian companions but honorary members of the family.

Landon's wild sense of humor, from poop jokes to donning foil to search for aliens, he illuminated the lives of those around him. A meticulous Lego builder and avid video game player, he could make even the most mundane activity into an adventure.

Psalm 37:4, a verse close to Landon's heart, reminds us to "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Landon's life reflected this joy, embracing his faith with warmth and authenticity.

To have been loved by Landon was to have experienced genuine warmth and affection. As we bid farewell, let us remember the laughter, the love, and the light that Landon brought to the world. May his spirit continue to inspire us to find joy in the simple things and embrace life's quirks with a smile.

In lieu of flowers, kindly share favorite memories you may have of Landon and/or consider making a donation to support the Orangefield High School fishing club or the Maritime program at Lamar State College Orange in his honor.

I remember always sneaking into his room or him sneaking into mine when we lived together. He was always wanting to have fun and go outside with me and I wanted to with him. He made the most memorable memories with me. The best childhood memories I have are all with him. I love you and I’ll forever miss you Landon
