Larry Belden, 62, of Orange, Texas, passed away on June 3, 2018, at his residence in Orange.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor, Texas. Providing a family eulogy will be Bobby Spoonmore.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Pittsburgh, Kansas, on March 11, 1956, he was the son of Donna (Louderback) Johnston. Larry was a locomotive engineer. He enjoyed listening to Elvis, fishing, hunting, being outdoors, and watching races at the dirt track. Larry was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Astros. He was a wonderful “Paw Paw” to his grandkids. No one in the world meant more to Larry than his mother. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery DeWayne Belden; his sister-in-law, Wanda Rainwater and husband Mike Rainwater; his brother-in-law, Clint Martin; his niece, Lori Copeland; his brother-in-law, Randy Wroten; his father-in-law, G.W. Vickery; and his brother-in-law, Lloyd Spell.
He is survived by his mother, Donna Johnston of Lamar, Missouri; his children, Brian Belden and wife Monica of Orange and Scott Belden and wife Brittany of Vidor; his step-children, Samuel Johnson and wife Megan of Orange, and Jeremy Johnson of Pittsburgh, Kansas; his grandchildren, Breanne Belden, Jarrett Belden, Kaleigh Belden, and Kaizlee Belden; his siblings, Debbie Forste and husband David of Golden City, Missouri and Sharon Lambert and husband Brett of Owasso, Oklahoma; and his numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jarrett Belden, Bobby Spoonmore, Darrell Johnson, Samuel Johnson, Brett Lambert, and David Forste. Honorary pallbearers are Breanne Belden, Kaleigh Belden, and Kaizlee Belden.
