Larry Austin Fitts

Larry Austin Fitts, 79, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on November 13, 2025, in Beaumont.

A gathering will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on July 10, 1946, he was the son of Major Austin Fitts and Eunice Lee Curtis Fitts. He dedicated an impressive 36 years of his life working as a Plant Operator, where his commitment and skill were reflected in every task he undertook. Larry was not only a dedicated professional but also a man of diverse interests and passions. He found joy in the great outdoors, embracing hobbies such as scuba diving, fishing, and hunting. These pursuits allowed him to connect with nature and enjoy the tranquility of the world around him. As we reflect on his life, we are reminded of the joy and warmth he shared, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Major Austin and Eunice Lee Fitts; and his loving wife, Charlotte Jean Fitts.

He is survived by his sons, Brian Austin Fitts and wife, Karitta, and Larry Alan Fitts; his grandchildren, Danielle Trahan and husband, Byron, and Austin Fitts; his great-grandchildren, Hardin Trahan, and Annistyn Trahan; his brother, Gary Lynn Fitts; and numerous other loving family members and friends.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
