Larry James O'Kelley

Larry James O’Kelley, 74, of Bridge City, passed away on June 12, 2021, in Bridge City.

Born in Athens, Georgia, on December 5, 1946, he was the son of James Wiley O’Kelley and Gladys Seagraves O’Kelley. Larry was just as strong willed and firm as he was thoughtful and loving. He adored his family and would go above and beyond to provide for them. Larry enjoyed thrill seeking and was incredibly inventive. He loved working on cars but mostly spending time with his loved ones. He was incredibly loved and will be deeply missed for years to come.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Gladys O’Kelley; and sister, Edna Lisotta.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jeanette DuBose O’Kelley; children, Monica O’Kelley-Colvin and wife Judy of Bridge City, and Kimberly Mayea and husband Adam of Groves; grandchildren, Jordan Jones, Travis Mayea, Tristan Mayea and Torri Mayea; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas.
