Best neighbor a fella could have. Lived across from me in Mico and allowed me to use his land to access my boat barn. He had a really big heart and didn't talk much, but when he did say something, it was important. Loved to work on his land and stayed busy all the time. Everyone here in Mico that knew him, liked the heck out of him. Very sad that he is gone, and I will miss him. Donald Kidd

I met Larry in Misawa Japan back in the seventies. I later was stationed with him in Massachusettes and he introduced me to Jane. He later asked me to be in his wedding to Jane. I remember spending many days and nights working on upgrading his home in Massachusettes with him. I have many fond memories of a man of integrity and honesty. He was a blessing to many and asked nothing in return but friendship! He is gone but to many he will never be forgotten. Tony Washington 1SG USA, Retired

I have had the priveledge of being a friend of Larry's for over 10 years...Larry was like family to me & mine. Our last get together was @ my son's baby shower...where i stoled hugs(he hates hugs but let me) & he won the "baby game". He knew how excited we were about having our first child. I know that baby shower wouldnt have happened w/out his assistance... Larry was always so kind, respectful, generous & loving. He had a true heart of gold. A man of integrity & hard working beyond most. He was the man you listened to because when he had something to say it was always important. I'm very sad my son isn't going to get a chance to know him... I know he would have loved our boy like family too. He was always encouraging others & lifting their spirits; mine included. This world is one less a angel now...Larry I hope you know how much you were loved & respected. Thank you for all your years of service, & thank you for allowing me & my family the priveledge of being in your life even for a moment. You will always have a place in my heart. We miss you greatly. Your forever friend, Lauren & Michael Gay

To Larry's Mom and Dad, You raised a fine son. He was my best friend and we shared many memories of our growing up years. I was the City Mouse, he was the Country Mouse. We started on the same day at SAWS in San Antonio and decided from the beginning to "make a difference". He was true to his word and will be missed by many. Rest in Peace my good friend.

I can't believe Larry is gone... I talked with Larry on a few occassions here at work mainly at the office where we would see one another whether because of a scheduled Inspector's meet or just crossing paths. I had much confidence in asking him a question or two pertaining to work related issues, policies, etc... He always had the answer. I had known that Larry obtained his "A" Water Liscence, which I understand is not an easy task. I can't believe he is gone! He will truly be remembered. I extend my most Deepest Sympathy to the Family. May the Lord God Almighty begin the Miracle of Healing And Comfort in your lives in the Greatest Way possible.

I didn't know Mr.Salsbury, but have known his sister, Tina, and her family for over 25 years. Reading the comments on FB and here, I'm convinced he was a good man who loved life and people. Thanking God for all the young lives spared as a result of Larry's home going. May our Lord hold Mr. & Mrs. Salsbury & the entire family in His loving arms during the coming difficult days. Love, John & Charlisa Goodman & Scott & Emily Prater
