Laura Ann Chadwell, 73, of Orangefield, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at her home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 6, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Damon Bickham of First Baptist Church in Deweyville.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Chadwell was born on February 27, 1936 in Fenton, Louisiana. She was the daughter of Clyde Cline and Ilamae Linscomb Dubose. Mrs. Chadwell worked at Equitable Bag in Orange.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lawrence Chadwell. Survivors include her longtime companion, Bob Prewitt; sons, William Clyde Chadwell, Gregory Kent Chadwell and his wife Sherry Ann; 4 grandchildren, Brandy Nicole Gill, Lisa Ann Chadwell, Kyle William Chadwell, Kenneth William Taylor; 5 great-grandchildren, Stephen Simonton, Cody Simonton, Elizabeth Gill, Anthony Gill, Reese William Chadwell; and sisters and brother, Mary Evelyn Milsap, Dorothy Jane Dupre, Esther Mae Thien, T.J. Dubose, Fay Thielepape and Joyce Mangum.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Kyle William Chadwell, Kenneth William Taylor, Dylan Chadwell, Russell Gray, Lee Allen Chadwell, and John Shiyou.
