I am so very sorry for your loss. I knew Miss Guilbeaux from the meadows. My mother is there also. I always visited her at their dining table so I could get my hug from her, Miss Gracie and Miss Sydney. She was a very sweet and loving person and always had something sweet to say to me. I will miss her. Praying for your family. Beth Cassel, daughter if Virginia Hollis.

During this time of sorrow, our hearts hurt for the loss of a beautiful, strong woman, that never seemed to stop. Stories Alan would tell, had me amazed of all the things Granny continued to do on her own. I hope the Good Lord blesses us all with many years as he did for Granny. She is Home now and our hearts are to be lifted as she is in the place of Grace and Beauty. I love you Marlene, know Bo and I never have stopped prayers for you and your gorgeous family and never will. God Bless You.

Judy B Guilbeaux (Niece) August 18, 2015
I (Judy B Guilbeaux) would spend many summer times in Orange with my cousin Marlene. My Mom (Laura's baby sister - Ellagene) would come also. Marlene and I were going for Pizza and were singing along to RESPECT by Aretha Franklin and were passing over a railroad track with a train very close. Talk about stop singing and Marlene stepped on the pedal. A few days later we told our Moms and they fused but both laughed a little. Aunt Laura said we should be more careful and keep that to ourselves. Aunt Laura always had that big smile and nice laugh she had. I loved her so much. She always treated me so lovingly. Rest in peace now Aunt Laura. Know that you were well loved by your children and grandchildren, and by me. You will be missed but never, ever forgotten. Love Judy
