LaVoe Gary

February 25, 1936 — March 26, 2014

LaVoe “Bo” Gary, 78, of Beaumont passed away on March 26, 2014 at Christus St Elizabeth Hospital. She is survived by daughter, Julie (Holcombe) Burkett and husband, Jerry, of Lumberton; granddaughter Lanie (Mosby) Mason, husband, Brandon and great grandson Dakota Mosby of Beaumont; brother, Robert Gary of San Antonio; nieces Jordan Gary, of San Antonio, Shannon Smith of Shorewood, Wisconsin, Milisa Bilnoski of Huffman, Angela Cunningham Walker of Humble; nephews, Jay Gary of Crosby, Derek Gary of Greenville, South Carolina, Wesley Gary of San Antonio and numerous other family members all of whom she greatly loved.
LaVoe was a resident of Atria Collier Park Senior Living facility at the time of her death where she made many wonderful friends. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She always had a smile and a kind word. She dearly loved to visit with her great grandson, Dakota. She loved watching him play, spoiling him and always, always saved “treats” for him, a bag of cookies and chips every time he came. He looked forward to going to see “MiMi”. He gave her a silly plastic bracelet from a gum machine which she wore until the last day of her life.
LaVoe is preceded in death by her father, R J Gary, mother, Gertrude “Sally” Gary, brother, Donald Gary and niece, Lisa Gary.
We love you Mama and will miss you so much but are comforted in knowing you will be with Jesus watching over us from Heaven with Nanny, Pop, Don and Lisa and other precious family members you are with now.
The Day God Took You Home
A million times
We’ve needed you
A million times we’ve cried,
If love alone
Could have saved you
You never would have died.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we love you still.
In our hearts you hold a place,
No one else can ever fill.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you didn’t go alone
Part of us went with you,
The day God took you home.
