Lee Asher, 85, of Orange, died, Monday, May 21, 2007, at Loving Care Private Care Facility.
Funeral service will be 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Larry Tomlin of Orangefield Church of Christ will officiate.
A visitation will follow the funeral service at the funeral home.
A Graveside Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, TX.
Mr. Asher was born July 13, 1921, in Commerce, Oklahoma to Bert Macklin Asher and Dolly Amanda Pruitt Asher.
Mr. Asher graduated from DeLano High School in California. He served as a Medical Technician in the U.S. Army during WWII in France and North Africa. He married Melva Joyce Rose in 1943. He retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company after 35 years.
He was a member of Orangefield Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Dolly Asher, one brother and four sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joyce, daughter and son in law, Aundria and Jerry Lunsford, grandsons and wives, Robert and Crystal Lunsford, Richard and Tanya Lunsford; four great grandchildren, Ashley, Colby, Jamey & Tanner, all of Orange County.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons and nephews.
