Leo "Bud" Guidry, Jr., 88, of Orange, Texas died Saturday, November 27, 2010 at his home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Barry Bradley. Burial will follow at Parish Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
Born in Orange, Texas on January 8, 1922, Bud was the son of Edolia McBride and Leo Guidry, Sr. He served in the United States Army. He returned home from WWII after spending 3 years in the European Theater as a Private First Class in Cannon Company 271st Infantry. He retired from Orange County.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Dan Edward Guidry, Nathan Paul Guidry, and Joseph Leo Guidry; brothers, Joseph Guidry and Sam Guidry; and his sister Catherine Wofford.
Bud is survived by his wife, Mary Berwick Guidry of Orange; son, John William Guidry, Sr.; daughter, Joyce Wheatley of Orange; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ruth Kibodeaux, Gloria Anne Moseley, Theda Allison and her husband, Alton.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Gus Harris, Chipper Nance, Dennis Wheatley, Floyd Thornal, John Guidry, Sr., and John Guidry, Jr.
