Dad told me after Mom died that Mom was the only women he's ever been with.

Here's another funny story about Dad. When he was young he decided he wanted to go along with Mom to do her horse riding stuff and he decided that he was going to show her how to do it. So she let him get on her horse and show her how to do it and what he showed her was how to get thrown from a horse and have his jaw broken. Unfortunately for Dad he had to have his jaw wired shut for 6 weeks after that! He never tried to show her how to do that again.

A lot of people might not know about this story but my Dad used to Duck hunt when he was young. My mother told me a story about one time Leonard took David with him hunting in the marsh. Now mind you David was only 5 years old at the time and I don't know what possessed him to take a five-year-old hunting but he did. So what happened was that he lost my brother in the marsh for 8 hours! He had almost given up hope and was going to have to go home and call the authorities when he found David somewhere in the marsh playing in the mud and sand! I don't know how he didn't get eaten by an alligator while he was lost but he managed to survive without any bad memories of the event. He came home and told Mom what had happened and of course she never let David go hunting with him again!🤣
