Funeral services for Leontine Elizabeth Standley, 87, of Beaumont, will be held Friday, February 12, 2010, 1:00 p.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home Chapel. A 4:00 p.m. graveside service will follow at Jackson Cemetery in Double Bayou, TX. There will be a gathering of family and friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
She was born November 5, 1922 in Galveston, TX to Leontine and James Carroll, Sr. and passed away on February 9, 2010 in Beaumont, TX
Mrs. Standley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dennis Hugh Standley, Sr., and son, Dennis Hugh Standley, Jr. She is survived by her children, Durwood Standley and wife, Martha, of Beaumont, Dale Standley of Beaumont, Debbie Myers and husband, Robert of Chandler, TX, Liz Richardson and husband, James, of Vidor; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
