LeRoy Weldon Lucas, 91, of Lumberton, Texas, passed away on September 24, 2023, at Village Creek Rehabilitatoin in Lumberton, Texas.

Born in Shelby County, Texas, on May 27, 1932, he was the son of Lonnie Butcher Lucas and Hilda Mary Johnson. LeRoy was a very dedicated and hard working man who worked well into his 70’s as a door to door milk man. He loved spending time with his family. He had many hobbies but most of all he loved fishing. LeRoy was a kind ma, a loving father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by parents Lonnie Butcher Lucas and Hilda Mary Johnson; his daughter LuAnn Lucas Shipes; his sisters Lottie Lucas, Versie Webb and husband Carol, and Naomi Smith; his brothers Lonzo Lucas, and Robie Lucas and wife Mildred; her nephews Thomas Mitchell Robbins, Billy Ray Webb, and Russell Gautreaux; and his brother in laws Don R. Robbins and Byron Mayfield

He is survived by his wife Joan Gage Lucas; his son Dan W. Lucas and wife Sharon; his grandchildren Tessa Parrish and husband Ryan, and Chloe Lucas; his sister in law Jesslyn Gage Mayfield; his nephew J. Robbins; and his nieces Donna Gautreaux, and Diana Lindstrom
