Lester J. Ryall
Lester Joseph Ryall, 94, of Beaumont, passed away peacefully on May 14. 2024.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon, Saturday May 18, 2024, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in China, Texas. The celebrant will be Reverend Polycarp Otieno of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in China. Burial will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Beaumont.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2024, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 19, 1929, he was the son of James L. Ryall and Oreline M. (Schexnaildre) Ryall. Lester was wonderful and compassionate and loved by his family. He spent his career working at Mobil Chemical and ExxonMobil where he lived in Kansas and throughout Texas. Upon retirement, he spent many years traveling, taking trips overseas, cruises, and proudly visited all 50 states. Lester is deeply missed and all of our prayers are with him in Heaven.
He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Fay J. (Evenson) Ryall and parents, James L. Ryall and Oreline M. Ryall.
He is survived by his eleven children, Fay A. Harrison, Paula M. Noble, Nancy L. Edwards, Lester J. Ryall, Jr., Linda M. Matherne, Joseph R. Ryall, Peggy A. Montalbano, Judy L. Ledet, Jean M. Ryall, Mary K. Ballenger and Peter T. Ryall, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder Ave, Beaumont, Texas 77702.
