Levie Vernell English

Levie Vernell English, 81, of Orange, Texas, formerly of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away on July 14, 2019, in Beaumont, Texas.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Michael Orange of Deweyville United Pentecostal Church.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Born in Shelbyville, Texas, on December 26, 1937, she was the daughter of Lynn English and Bernice (Paine) English. Levie was the owner and operator of Murphy’s Truck Equipment. She was a graduate of Shelbyville High School where she was in the band and played basketball. In her free time, Levie enjoyed sewing, reading, fishing, traveling and cooking. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and enjoyed family reunions and holidays. Levie will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lynn and Bernice English; her sisters, Ara Belle Anthony, Bobbie Lynn Campbell, and Johnnie Ruth Wilburn; and her husbands, Junior Miller and Tubby Haessley.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Miller; her grandchildren, Christy Lynn Shepardson and husband Tony, and Kevin Dale Lunsford and wife Terrie; her great-grandchildren, Savannah, Hailey, Trea, and Mason Garcia, Austin, Alex, and Brandon Shepardson, and Alba, Tommy, and Lane Lunsford; her sister, Judy English; as well as many nieces and nephews.
