Linda Irene Squyres, 85, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on January 1, 2024.

Born in Ranger, Texas, on May 29, 1938, she was the daughter of Lieutenant Colonel Roy Plumley and Faye Plumley. Linda was a remarkable individual who lived a life filled with passion and creativity. She loved painting and drawing anything that sparked her imagination. She had a unique gift for storytelling. Linda was also a globetrotter who spent much of her life travelling the world. Linda was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor. She held family close to her heart. She cherished every opportunity to be with loved ones and took pride in fostering strong bonds between relatives. Her nurturing spirit brought comfort to those in need, and she selflessly provided support to family members throughout their lives.

She is preceded in death by her parent, Lieutenant Colonel Roy Plumley and Faye Plumley; her daughters, Joellen Hodge and Elizabeth Gilly; her son, Roy Gene Squyres; and her brother, Roy Plumley, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Parker; her son, Christopher Hodge and wife Anita; her niece, Lisa Kaye Dobbs; and her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
