Linda Faye Tibbitts, 79, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on September 15, 2023, at Memorial Hermann in Houston.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 22, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Jacob Smith. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park Cemetery in Port Neches.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Port Neches, Texas, on August 9, 1944, she was the daughter of Dominic John Bertolio, Jr. and Aline Bonvillian Bertolio. She retired from Unocal as a lab technician and also spent time working as a merchant mariner. She often spoke of her love for the ocean and enjoyed being on the water whether it was the beach or the lake. One of her favorite pastimes was working in her yard tending to her plants. She was a very loving woman with a generous and giving spirit. She was a lifelong member of First Assembly of God Church in Bridge City. Above all Linda was a deeply devoted mother and grandmother who adored her family. She cherished and loved her sons and grandchildren. Linda will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Aline and Dominic Bertolio Jr.; brother, Robert Lee Bertolio; sisters, Mary Lou Ivey, Alice Jean Wilson, and Shirley Ann Faul.
She is survived by her sons, Kent Tibbitts and wife Vicki and Chris Tibbitts and wife Gretchen; grandchildren, Dustin Tibbitts, Matthew Tibbitts, Tyler Tibbitts, Luke Tibbitts, Haley Bodiford, Kaitlin Tibbitts, Madison Grenolds, and Kara Cavaness; five great-grandchildren; sister, Jeanette Winkle; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, close friends and other loving family.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dustin Tibbitts, Tyler Tibbitts, Matthew Tibbitts, Luke Tibbitts, Aaron Cavaness, and Corey Bodiford.
Honorary pallbearers are Scott Grenolds, Oren Grenolds, Doyle Tibbitts, John Begalski, and Brennan Tibbitts
