L.J. Sharp

Luther James "L.J." Sharp, 69, of Mauriceville, died Friday, March 28, 2008, at home while reading his Bible.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange, with Reverend David Millner and Reverend Charles Klock, officiating.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Born in Lufkin on February 7, 1939, he was the son of Luther M. and Marguerite Fuller Sharp.
He had worked for Firestone in Orange and retired from the Calabrian Corporation.
Mr. Sharp was a US Army Veteran, a life member of PACE Local
4-23, attended Grace Bible Fellowship and was an avid gardener and friend to all.
Preceded in death by his parents, three siblings and three grandchildren, he is survived by his wife, Trisha-Lee Sharp of Mauriceville; children, Mary Elizabeth Jeanise, Samuel Preston Sharp, Barry Banes, Margie Broadus, Wynne Sharp, Janice L. Landry, Robert Wilson Pruitt, Buffie Melette Istre, Anthony Duane Pruitt, Darla Marie Adams, Rhonda Gay Pruitt; grandchildren, Sammi Lee, Felicia, Jennifer, Howard, Justin, Patrick, James, Holly, Michael, Desiree, Preston, Hannah, Lillie, Cabe, Candace, Koen, Catie Zachery, Chelsea, Cassidi, Austin, Morgan, TaylorCherie, Samantha, Anthony, April Dorothy, Beck, Jeremy and Summer.
Also surviving are his sisters, Wanda Trumble, Faye Waller, Margaret Leleux, Jean Lesher, Peggy Sharp; three great grandchildren; 17 nieces and nephews; 35 great nieces and nephews; and eight great great nieces and nephews.
