Lloyd Dixon

Lloyd L. Dixon, 86, of the McLewis community, went to meet his Lord and Savior on July 15, 2007.
Services will be Friday, July 20, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas at 10 a.m. Pastor David Green of St. Paul?s United Methodist Church will be officiating at the service.
The family will be accepting visitors at the funeral home on Thursday, July 19, 2007 from 6:00 till 9:00 p.m.
Mr. Dixon was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 126 AF & AM of Orange and St. John?s Methodist Church. He retired from American Bridge Division of United States Steel. He had worked in the construction field as a carpenter for several contractors in the area.
Lloyd is survived by his son, Ronald Dixon and wife Emma of Orange; brother, Kees Dixon and wife Billie of Bossier City, Louisiana; sisters, Veronica Merritt of Bossier City, Geneva Stark and husband Guy of Raliegh Durham, North Carolina, and Lavergne Carpentar Morgan City, Louisiana; sister-in-law, Maudie Dixon of Shreveport, Louisiana; and several nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by four grandchildren, Darrell Dixon of Ragley, Louisiana, Melissa Norris of Zavalla, Texas, Tim Dixon of Corpus Christie, Texas, and Jennifer Sisco of Sherwood, Oregon; great-grandchildren, Patrick Sons of Orange, Texas, Taylor Dixon of Ragley, Louisiana, Megan Sisco of Sherwood, Oregon, Carson White, Cora Dixon, and Kira Dixon all of Corpus Christie, Texas.
Lloyd is also survived by his great-granddaughter, Britaney Dixon of Orange, Texas, who was the shining light of his eye
