Lloyd Gray, 85, of Orange, Texas died Friday, November 5, 2010, at his home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 8, 2010, at Orangefield United Pentecostal Church. Officiating will be Reverend James Moore. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Wells Cemetery. The cemetery is located approximately 12 miles north of Burkeville on Hwy 255.
Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Sunday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Gandy, Louisiana on July 10, 1925, Lloyd was the son of Lessie Wells and Luther Gray. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He retired from the welding department at Texaco Refinery in Port Arthur. He was a member of Orangefield United Pentecostal Church.
Preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Colleen Gray, Lloyd is survived by his son, Larry Gray and his wife, Kathleen of Orangefield; daughter, Kathy Martindale and her husband, Mark of Jasper; grandchildren, Marla Gray of Orangefield, Courtney Martindale Airheart of Austin, and Clark Martindale of Jasper; great-grandson, Aaron Gray, and great great-granddaughter, Trista Gray, both of Orangefield.
He is also survived by his sister, Mary Ratcliff and brother, Eugene Gray, both of Jasper; and sister, Betty Harris of Nederland.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Larry Gray, Aaron Gray, Clark Martindale, Jamey Mayo, Don Juneau, and Larry Weeks.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Orangefield United Pentecostal Church building fund, 409-735-8295.
