Lois Rae Sanford, 83, of Beaumont passed away Friday, November 19, 2010 at Baptist Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 22, 2010 at Claybar Kelley Watkins Chapel. Officiating will be Reverend James Blackwell of South Park Baptist Church and interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sanford was born June 26, 1927 in Franklin, TX to George D. and Emma Lee Kendrick Fulton. She attended college at Lamar where she received her degree and became a Registered Nurse. She was a member at South Park Baptist Church for 56 years; loved to garden and loved animals and enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Richard Gray of Lumberton; son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Janet Sanford of Beaumont; grandchildren, Laura Watson of Lumberton and Jason Meyers and wife, Lisa of Gray, GA; great grandchildren, Jessica, Joshua, Sierra, Naleigh, Lane and Alexia and great great grandchild, Blakely Rae. She is also survived by her brothers, Joe Fulton of Clearlake and Donald Fulton of Friendswood; sister, Elsie Bounds of Porter and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, L.D. Sanford; sons, Michael and Daniel Sanford and brothers, Dewey and Ronnie Fulton.
