Lois Geraldine Wilson, 97, of Beaumont Texas passed away on November 15, 2024.
Funeral services will be 2:30, Friday, November 22, 2024, in Beaumont, Texas.
Burial will follow at Magnolia cemetery in Beaumont, Texas.
Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:30, Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Beaumont.
Born in Sayre, Oklahoma, on November 11, 1927. Lois was the daughter of Maxwell Brady and Minnie DeCordova Brady.Lois was the second of four children, including two sisters and a younger brother.Her family moved often during the depression years. Her father did some farming, spent a year harvesting hops in Oregon, and later worked for the railroads. Her family eventually settled in Canyon Texas. It was in Canyon that she met the love of her life Eugene Wilson and eventually married in 1944. During World War II, they were stationed in North Carolina, Louisiana, and Florida. Lois worked for the Katy Railroad company in Dallas after the war and helped put her husband through SMU Law school. She was blessed with three sons: Mark, Greg and Roger. She quit her job to become a full-time home maker, and spent the remainder of her time managing rental properties. She was a member of Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church in Dallas. Later in life she moved to Beaumont to be closer to family. Lois was a dedicated wife and mother and loved her family deeply. She was generous and caring and was always available for her family. She will be greatly missed.
Lois is preceded in death by her son Mark A. Wilson MD of Beaumont, Texas.
Lois is survived by sons Greg Wilson, Roger (Chandra) Wilson, daughter in law LaNell Wilson, grandsons Dylan Wilson, Zach Wilson and granddaughters Leslie Wilson and Lauren Wilson
