Lonney Lee Lawrence, 69, of Orange, passed away on December 20, 2020, in Beaumont.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on September 1, 1951, he was the son of Bobby G. Lawrence and Phyllis R. (Bolles) Lawrence. Lonney graduated from Bridge City high school, where he was a talented football player. His passion in life was playing his guitar and singing, both of which he could do beautifully. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and learning about history, especially the Civil War. Lonney had the best sense of humor, never met a stranger and could make anyone laugh with no effort at all. He will be deeply missed by all those he managed to touch throughout his well-lived life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Phyllis Lawrence; brother, Bobby A. Lawrence; and nephew, Beaux Lawrence.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karol Soto of Orange; children, Chelli Ray Romero of Orange, Kyle Lawrence of Dallas; grandchildren, Chasidi Romero, Chloe Romero, and Caiden Romero; brother, Billy Ray Lawrence and wife Tammy of Orange; nephews, Jacob Allen Lawrence of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Micah Rinehart and wife Amber of Bridge City; nieces, Rebecca Rinehart of Wake Forest, North Carolina, and Brooke Lawrence, and husband Josh Shavers of Silsbee; great-nephews, Bobby Allen Lawrence, Anthony Rinehart, and Jack Meeks; and great-nieces, Tessa K. Lawrence, and Natalie Rinehart.
