Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on February 26, 1949, she was the daughter of James F. Hammond, Sr. and Hulda Lorraine (Cox) Hammond. Loral worked as a caregiver for Riceland Healthcare. She was a faithful member of MacArthur Baptist Church. She loved a good play on words, flowers, plants and cats. She also enjoyed fishing and camping. Loral was known as “Big Red.” She was a feisty lady with a motor mouth and a heart of gold that was bigger than the world. Loral was very compassionate, but could be hard headed. She always wanted to help and pray for others. She would never walk away from someone in need. Loral loved her brothers very much. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Hulda Hammond; and her brother, James F. Hammond, Jr.
She is survived by her siblings, Greg Hammond and wife Diane, Harvey Hammond and Leticia, Jeffery Hammond and wife Fei, and David Hammond and wife Fran; sister, Linda Hammond; and her numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to extend many thanks to the staff of Hospice Plus and Loral’s church family. Also, special thanks for the love and care of Randy and Patricia Hebert and Debbie Morris, with their love, care and support, Loral went on to meet her Heavenly Father.
