Loretta Peveto Thomas, 72, of Orange, died Saturday, April 2, 2011, at her home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend David Turner, pastor of Little Cypress Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Port Arthur.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
Born in Orange, Texas on March 18, 1939, Loretta was the daughter of A.C. Peveto and Loraine Rivea. She enjoyed bowling, exercising at the spa and playing the slot machines at Coushatta Casino.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, stepfather, Jack Moak and brother, Charles Peveto.
Loretta is survived by her husband of 50 years, Sidney E. Thomas; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Thomas and Richard Cloutier of Lake Charles, Louisiana; sister, Madeline Klekar; brother, Darrell Peveto; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Richard Cloutier, Billy Bickham, Randy Caruthers, Earl Tipton, George Gentzler and Jack Harrison.
