Louis Oliver Peveto, 86, of Bridge City, passed away on November 10, 2021, at his home in Bridge City.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m., Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Deacon Steve Obernuefemann. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Orange, Texas, on September 12, 1935, he was the son of Louis Ruben Peveto and Gladys (Larue) Wilson. Louis served bravely as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division with the United States Army. He retired from DuPont in Beaumont as a supervisor after numerous years of hard work and dedication. Louis attended St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City. He loved to go hunting - especially deer and also enjoyed fishing when he had the opportunity. Louis was an adoring husband and a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be deeply missed by all those who came to know and love him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Maudra Ruth (LeBlanc) Peveto; children, Louis Courtney Peveto and wife Cindy of Buna and Ava Peveto Tucker and husband Keith Tucker of Midlothian; grandchildren, Erik and wife Ann and their children, Denton, Violet and Breann, Michael and wife Eiby and their children, Kaylea, Kourtney, Matthew, Will and Eliana, Nicholas and wife Alyssa and their children Evangeline and Daniel, Jamie and husband Ian, and Danielle and husband Trevor and their children Fitz and Graham; and sisters, Norma Toohey and Evelyn Goodman.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael, Erik, Denton, Courtney, Danielle, and Trevor. Honorary pallbearer is Leathon. All grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Louis will be serving as honorary pallbearers.
