Louisa “Lou” Sterling Parker
Louisa “Lou” Sterling Parker, 96, of Ormond Beach, Florida, former longtime resident of Orange, Texas, passed away on September 10, 2018, in Ormond Beach, FL.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas. Officiating will be Pastor Gary McCormick, of First Christian Church in Orange. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Born in Orange, Texas, on November 2, 1921, she was the daughter of Daniel Sterling and Edna Honeycutt Sterling.
She and her husband Bobby Parker enjoyed traveling and she especially enjoyed cruises with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the absolute light of her life.
Lou was a member of her beloved First Christian Church in Orange for 83 years and was the official "hugger and greeter" at Sunday services for many years. There is no doubt she was received at heaven's gate with outstretched arms. Welcome home, thy good and faithful servant
She is survived by her children, Dianne Noguess Udstuen, of Chama, NM, Maureen Noguess Star, of Ormond Beach, FL, and Norma Parker Martin, of Chandler, AZ; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous other loving family and friends.
