Louise Lauderdale Faver

Louise Lauderdale Faver was born on August 28, 1918, in Beaumont, TX, to Mary Belle and Charles W. Lauderdale, Sr. Mrs. Faver graduated from South Park High School in 1935. While employed at Gulf States Utilities Company now Entergy, she met Victor Faver, whom she married on March 21, 1943. Together they reared three daughters. Her life?s work was her home and family. Through her scrapbooks, photo albums, and detailed memories, she was a repository of family history. She was active at First Baptist Church and in the Parent Teachers Association and the Beaumont Lioness Club. In her family and community she modeled her values of conscientiousness, excellence, and faithfulness.

Mrs. Faver was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, William Victor Faver, Jr. She is survived by three daughters, Janet Sewell and husband, Ridge, Beaumont, TX; Gwen Crawford, Katy, TX; and Catherine Faver, McAllen, TX; grandchildren, Courtney Cole and husband, Jeremy, Cotopaxi, CO; Christin Johnson and husband, Paul, Frisco, TX; Casey Baugh and husband, Michael, Colorado Springs, CO; Kimberly Crawford and husband, Henry Martinez, Chicago, IL; and Trenton Crawford, Austin, TX. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Caitlyn and Alexandra Cole; Meghan, Molly, and Montgomery Johnson; and Cole and Morgan Baugh.

Mrs. Faver was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Isabel Hegele, Margaret Golemon, and Mary Catherine Jostes; brothers, Charles W. Lauderdale, Jr. and Lloyd Lauderdale; and her son-in-law, John Crawford.

The family will receive guests from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday June 11, 2011 in the parlor of First Baptist Church Beaumont. A celebration of Mrs. Faver's life will be at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of First Baptist Church Beaumont. Interment will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
