Lucille Bowers Daniel was born September 11, 1916 in Beaumont. The Lord took her in his arms on June 21, 2008.
Lucille grew up on a dairy farm and married R. D. Bowers and had twin sons, R. D. Bowers and J. D. Bowers. She worked in the admitting office at St. Elizabeth Hospital for ten years. They moved to Crystal Beach and had many, many wonderful years with their grand kids and family. They were married for almost fifty years when he went to be with the Lord. The hardest thing she ever had to do was bury her twin sons a year apart when they also were called to be with the Lord.
She married Alfred Daniel before losing her sons and they traveled to many wonderful places on vacation. He helped her through those hard times. Then he was called home.
Lucille is survived by her daughter-in-law, Cecil Marie Bowers; grandchildren, Debbie and Norman Crews of Mauriceville, Jay and Cindy Bowers of Vidor, Deborah and Tim Norris of Sivierville, TN, Melisa and Gregg Bryce and Lantie Nathan Bowers all of Red Oak, OK and Robbie and Mandi Bowers of Vidor; niece, Diane Henderson of Santa Fe; 13 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Daniel knew many blessings in her 91 years.
