Lucille Marie Nichols
Lucille Marie Nichols, 71, of Orange, Texas, passed away on May 9, 2024, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas.
Graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, May 13, 2024, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will begin prior to the service at 9:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., Monday, May 13, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Texas City, Texas, on March 7, 1953, she was the daughter of Anthony Francis Cantone and Evelyn Conjetta (Spalma) Nichols. Lucille was known for her hard work and commitment to caring for her family. She had a fulfilling career working for UTMB in Galveston in process and billing, as well as at Razzio's Pizza. Lucille was admired for her skills in the kitchen. An excellent cook and baker, she delighted in preparing delicious meals for her loved ones. She had a passion for animals and enjoyed their companionship throughout her life. Lucille found joy in simple pleasures like fishing, crabbing, camping, and spending time at the beach. She also cherished moments spent playing cards, dominoes, and working on puzzles with family and friends. She lived her life for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Lucille leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love, and warmth and will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Anthony Cantone and Evelyn Nichols; brother, Vincent Cantone and wife, Hilda; and lifelong partner, Jerry Colvin.
She is survived by her daughter, Laurie Lingenfelter and husband, Ernest Alford; son, Shawn Lingenfelter and wife, Sandra; grandchildren, Sylvia Lingenfelter and partner Kendra Simon, Jacob Ellis and wife, Candace, Nicole Ellis and partner, Kolby Smith, Chasity Russell and husband, Ashton, Trevor Lingenfelter and partner, Mallorie Brown; Jennifer Franklin and partner, Dylan Wilson, Tré Harris, and Brayce Alford; thirteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Rita Cantone, Mickey Cantone, Tony Cantone and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Shawn Lingenfelter, Trevor Lingenfelter, Ashton Russell, Mickey Cantone, Tony Cantone, and Jacob Ellis. Honorary pallbearers are Laurie Lingenfelter and Rita Cantone.
