Lucille Reed

Lucille "Lucy" Reed died October 10, 2008, at the Harbor Hospice Hospital in Beaumont , Texas . Services will be held Monday, October 13, 2008, at 2:00p.m. at the Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City , TX . Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City . Reverend Bob Boone of the First Baptist Church of Bridge City will officiate.

Visitation will be at the Claybar Funeral home in Bridge City , Sunday October 12, 2008, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Lucy was born on July 21, 1927, in Port Arthur , Texas . She was the daughter of George and Ada Walker Reed. She was a life long resident of Bridge City and a member of the First Baptist Church of Bridge City. Lucy worked as a tax clerk for Orange County and loved to do needle craft and quilt.

Miss Reed was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Levi Reed and her sister, Rosie Reed Dolson. She is survived by her sister, Myrtle Inez Blurton of Murfreesboro , TN and nine nieces and nephews; ten great nieces and nephews; and sixteen great-great nieces and nephews.
