Lucille St. Clair was born in San Francisco, CA to John and Lucinda Dye November 10, 1911 and died July 16, 2013 at the age of 101 years 8 months.
She came to Texas at 5 years of age after her mother died and was raised by an aunt and uncle, Belle and John Dillinger in Temple, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 86 years, John Louis St. Clair, a daughter, Ethel Faye “Bo” Reynolds, sons-in-law Jack Reynolds and Jack Box and several siblings.
She is survived by daughter Betty L. Box, of Lumberton; 5 grandchildren, Randy Box and wife, Belinda of Pearland, Ron Box of O’Fallon, MO, Dale Reynolds of Beaumont, Donna Bennefield and husband, Michael, of Lumberton and Robert Reynolds of Houston; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson with another on the way and several nieces and 2 nephews.
Mrs. St. Clair was a 50+ year member of the Eastern Star and a founding and active member of Pine Burr Baptist Church.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Village Creek Nursing Home for their loving care of Mrs. St. Clair.
Visitation will be at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home on Friday July 19, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
