Ludie Mae Temple Mota went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 5, 2015. She was born January 20, 1947, in Winnsboro, Louisiana, to Thomas Eugene and Mary Evelyn Temple.
Ludie loved many things: family, friends, hummingbirds, butterflies, bells, flowers, nature, and holidays, especially Christmas. She always had room at her table for a good plate of homemade food and a listening ear. She was famous for her fried chicken, tacos, enchiladas, teacake cookies, divinity, sweet tea, and apple cake.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 51 years, Pete Mota; daughter, Brenda Allen and husband, Matt; daughter, Mary White and husband, Tommy; Ludie’s (Gran’s) precious treasures, her grandchildren: John, Joey, and Josh Allen, and Autumn LeGault. Ludie also leaves behind a sister, Thelma Temple; brothers, Roger Temple and wife, Elizabeth; Artis Temple, and wife Terry; Vel Temple, and wife Saundra.
Ludie was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Otis Temple, Thomas Temple, Troy Temple, Velvie Barfield, and Dewey Temple.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Orange Forest Lawn, at 2:00 P.M. Pallbearers will be Jose Leos, Tommy White, Matt Allen, Greg Temple, Clint Temple, John Allen, Joey Allen, and Josh Allen.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 12, 2015, from 2:00-3:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church-Orange followed by a celebration service at 3:00 P.M. Pastors Ed Rawls and Barry Bradley will officiate.
