Lula M. Leger Johnson, 73, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 in Lake Charles, LA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 pm, Friday, February 6, 2009, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Tom Phelan. Interment will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 pm, Thursday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm.
Lula was born on January 3, 1936, in Duson, LA. She was the daughter of Antoine and Laurence Savoy Leger. She enjoyed painting, crocheting and had a large collection of Afghans. She also loved taking care of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert H. Leger and son, Randy Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth A. Johnson, of Orange; daughter, Dana Lin Price, of Orange; grandchildren, Ashleigh Price and Courtney Price; brothers, Louis L. Leger, James Ray Leger, sister, Betty Hanchey, and husband Gene, all of Sulphur; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, J.W. Teboy and Eleanor Johnson.
