Lydie A. Echols, 81, of Bridge City, Texas, died Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at her home.
A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, May 31, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Reverend David Way of First Assembly of God in Port Arthur.
Visitation will be Saturday, 3 p.m. at Bridge City Funeral Home.
Lydie was born on January 19, 1927 in Vaux sous Chevremont, Belgium.
She is preceded in death by her husband Orville Echols.
Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Mary Tyler and husband Glen of Bridge City; a son, John Echols and his wife Carmela of Muscadine, AL.; a sister, Andre Ancion of Belgium; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; cousins; nieces and nephews.
