Mabel Livingston, 87, of Orange, died Saturday, March 13, 2010, at her home.
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend David Berkheimer of Community Church in Orange. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.
Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Mabel was born on February 21, 1923, in Anderson, Indiana. She was the daughter of Christopher Columbus Cox and Mary Lyda Edge. Mabel enjoyed square dancing, traveling in her motor home and going to the casino.
Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Deauo Livingston; sons, Stephen and Richard Livingston; and also was the last surviving of 13 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son, Roger Livingston of Orange; two grandchildren, Aaron Livingston and Kourtne Livingston; and three great-grandchildren, Blayze Dunbar, Karmen Aytes and Stephen Preston Livingston.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse Grooms, David Aquillard, John Byerly, Leon Terry, Floyd Guillory, Jr. and Roger Livingston. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Foster, Dr. John Vardiman and Robert Molina.
