Mahala “Polly” McCormack, 89, of Orange, passed away on October 23, 2014, at her home.

A memorial service will be 10:00 am, Saturday, November 1, 2014, at Grace Lutheran Church in Orange. Officiating will be Pastor Tom Haas.

Born in Gist, Texas, on February 23, 1925, she was the daughter of Joseph Ernest Brooks and Sadie (Clark) Brooks. Polly is a fifth generation Texan, her family has been in Orange County since the 1830’s. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James “Stew” McCormack and her son, Joe McCormack.

She is survived by her sons, James McCormack of Orange and Bud McCormack and wife, Sandy of Orange; five grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
